Fatigue Case Studies for Crack Initiation and Propagation Calculation
Fatigue Design and Evaluation Committee

Updated: Apr2020, Nov2020, Mar2024
The F.D.+E Committee has created many test case studies in the past
years to help improve the science of fatigue crack initiation and
crack propagation life prediction. A number of these past studies and
several from other sources are presented here. The intent is to allow
F.D.E members and students to test the validitiy of their prediction methods
and to enable the development of new software for fatigue analysis.
The items presented may contain errors and are meant for research only,
not for design.
