SRIM Composite Fatigue Test Data Created by F.D.+E Comm.
Feb.27 2011, Updates: Mar. 02 2011
Note! : The pages and files in this directory are offered by the F.D.+ E. committee
members as a set of example files for the construction of web based material fatigue
property databases. They are meant for information and research use only, not for design.
SRIM, glass-fiber reinforced, Room Temp. :
-
SRIM Strain Life test data
NOTE: The file cannot be easily "fitted" using the ASTM E606
(Coffin-Manson) approach because of the negative values for plastic strain
amplitude; which arise from the variablity of the test specimen moduli and
the small observable amounts of plastic strain in the stress-strain hysteresis loops.
-
SRIM Cyclic Stress-Strain Curve : A digital fit of the data (see also Ref.[2]).
Created by constructing a median cyclic stress-strain curve.
-
SRIM Neuber Stress Plot for strain controlled test results and Equivalent
Stress for load controlled test results for axial un-notched specimens
versus Cycles to Failure.
The the median and upper and lower data boundary lines (red) on the plot
were used to compute the life values for each of the points on the
Median cyclic stress-strain curve. The result are the three "Fitted" and
"Calculator" variations below.
